What is your go to method for summer fishing?

My go to method for summer fishing has to be the use of floating baits. Nothing beats the exhiliration of seeing the carp approach & close its lips around your bait. Of coarse theres the times when it will simply pass you bye aswell, but it all gets the heart racing.
Also for fishing on the bottom i like to use what back in England was ironicly called "The method", which involves using a mixed groundbait moulded around a special lead. This works well at most times of the year though.
