Just wanted to let y'all know that there are several places close to where I live with good numbers of carp. The South Branch of the Potomac in the Hampshire County area is a good spot. Our state record for Grass Carp was caught from Warden Lake in Hardy County and it was 50.75 lbs. Fort Ashby Reservoir in Mineral County is another good spot.

Hello mate,
Ive fished Warden Lake twice, never had much luck but im going again when i get back from the UK in June.
Do you fish it much? if so is it really that good for carp? it certainly looks like it, i just dont get that many takes! what bait would you use, and how would you go about fishing the place? any info on those grassers aswell would be cushty too!
Cheers,
Quaker

I've only been to Warden Lake once and it was to fish for trout. I have heard others say that Warden Lake is good for carp, but haven't fished it myself. it's about 60 miles from me.
