Ive recently become very excited about carp fishing. A local lake about a mile away from my home hold European carp and Japanese carp (koi). I have great luck with plain corn soaked in sugar water. I'm going to test some flavored corn later this week and I'll return with a report card.
Recipes:
plain corn (1 cob) off the cob
2 Tbs of Carmel syrup.
some times simple is better.
well this was a first attempt and a fail. the caramel seemed to really be a repellent the corn would only be picked up after the caramel washed away. to be fair i got 4 hookups and 4 broken lines. i replaced the line and ill be heading out again this week sans caramel.
