Hi Friends,
I am interested in fishing including Carps.
Could you tell me the regulation for fishing the carp (Cyprinus carpio) fishes? I want to know if there are size and number limitation for fishing them in freshwater in rivers and pounds in Ventura County, California and whole US.

Welccome hguo18,
You would need to check your local fishing regulations, but in most places carp are considered non-gamefish or trashfish...These fish do not usually have any size or creel limits. The Dept of Fish and Game doesnt care about conserving carp but WE do! Please practice catch and release and have fun!

the only carp that I know that are regulated are grassers AKA White Amure, either they must be returned right away or by law you must the destroy fish upon capture
