Where did you catch this fish? At a glance it looks possibly Asian Silver Carp.

It could also be a Grass Carp, with a bit more info as to the water on which it was caught we may be able to identified

I think Krzfshrmn nailed it. It is most definitely a bighead carp and a very invasive species of carp. Along with the silver carp, they are wrecking havoc on the local waterways. If anyone catches any of these invasive carp, please do not release back into water! This is NOT the case for the common carp, mirror carp, leather carp, grass carp. Please practice catch and release for the good carp and fertilize your garden with the invasive ones,lol...

No, not the worlds largest bass... Still a monster fish though and I would imagine a kick in the @ss to catch. Just enjoy the sport of it and have fun!

This Bighead Carp at 70lbs would make it a world record, actually the present world record was caught at Sardis Lake also see here www.sardislake.com/Links/Lake_Talk/fishing.html

Wow you are right! Has this fish been verified as a record? Even for one ugly carp, thats still way cool to catch a world record!
