Has anyone ever fished for carp from a kayak? If so, please fill us in. Was it awesome? Did the carp pull you around? Were you able to land it into the kayak?

Hi Carpman, I have not personally, but would be a blast though! A friend of mine fishes for 100-400lb sturgeon from his float tube ( like for bass fishing) and its the funniest thing to see, as the gigantic fish drags him all over the river! For me fishing is best left on the bank, lol. Here are a just a couple of fish I caught.

Wow! they are huge. Nice Catch. I'm going to a canoe and kayak show this weekend and I'm going to be looking at a certain kayak specifically for fishing. Its brand new for 2009. If I decide to purchase it, I'm definitely going to take it with me to a lake where I strickly fish for carp. It must be awesome.

It was not fishing from a kayak but I fish from a 12' boat and carp have towed me lots of times.
