California carpers? 3 Years ago Karma: 0
Hi there!
A UK carper here.
I'll be coming to California on vacation (or holiday, as we would say) for two weeks at the end of may and I'm hoping to do a bit of carp fishing.
I'm flying into San Francisco and then back to the UK from San Diego and I was wondering if anybody could tell me of any carp fishing venues worth visiting.
I am traveling with my family, so am looking for somewhere to get a quick day session, with a good chance of catching some decent fish.
Thanks!

I read somewhere that is against the rules to throw in free offerings of bait in California (chumming?), is this the case?
If so, is it OK to use PVA bags, or does this class as chumming too?

Maybe there are keen carpers out there that would like to share info, maybe even meet up?
I could bring some carp fishing bits and bobs over from the UK. There have been some great advancements in the last few years and maybe some of the new stuff is not available in the USA?
