Today I took my friend Joseph carp fishing for the first time to see if I could get him interested in the sport. We were only fishing for about four hours and the fishing was fast and crazy. I had four screaming runs, connected with all of them three snapped off on the bridge strutt and landed one see below.
I can't remember what it weighed, though it looks like an early double. Anyway this snapping off on the bridge is becoming a huge problem. So what I did when I got home was order some Kryston Quicksilver, basically this is a coated braid which is highly abrasion proof. I also tied my own rigs when I got home using power pro and put a touch of super glue on each of the knots, we will see if this solves the problem.
